Is AskVietnam free?
Yes. Asking questions is free and does not need an account. The site is supported by clearly labeled advertising.
Where do the answers come from?
From sources our editors register and review. Every answer lists its sources with the date they were last verified, so you can open and check them.
Can I rely on it for visas or legal matters?
Use it as a starting point. Before you make a decision, confirm with the official source — the embassy, the immigration portal or the relevant authority. Answers link to official sources when we have them.
Why does it sometimes say it cannot answer?
Because there was not enough reliable evidence. We would rather say so than guess. Those questions are sent to our editors so the gap can be filled.
Which languages can I use?
English, Tiếng Việt, 한국어, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, Français, Deutsch, Español, Русский, ไทย, हिन्दी, Bahasa Indonesia, Português and Italiano. Ask in your language and the answer comes back in the same language.
Can I ask with a photo or by voice?
Yes. Add a JPG, PNG or WebP photo up to 4 MB — for example a sign, a menu or a ticket. Voice input uses your browser’s speech recognition where it is available.
Do ads influence the answers?
No. Ads are chosen from the page context only, requested separately from the answer and always labeled. Advertisers cannot pay to appear inside answers or to change which sources are cited.
Do I need an account?
No. We use an anonymous session cookie to keep your conversation together. See the Privacy page for details.
How do I report a wrong or outdated answer?
Tap the thumbs-down under the answer and pick a reason, or write to us on the Feedback page. Our editors review every report.
Which places are covered?
All of Vietnam. Da Nang is our pilot city and has the most verified information so far; other destinations are being added.
