How it works
From your question to a cited answer, in four steps.
- 1
You ask
In any of our 15 languages — type it, say it or add a photo. We detect the language and the place you are asking about.
- 2
We look up registered sources
Our editors register sources and review the facts taken from them. Only that reviewed material is searched — not the open web.
- 3
The AI writes from that evidence
Each point in the answer is tied to a source. If something is not supported by a source, it is left out.
- 4
You see where it came from
Sources, their tier and the last-verified date appear under every answer. Confidence is calculated from source quality, agreement and freshness — the AI never rates itself.
How sources are ranked
- 1
- Official. Government, airports, ministries, official tourism boards.
- 2
- Trusted local. Established local businesses and institutions with verified information.
- 3
- Editorial. Reputable media and travel publications.
- 4
- Community. Community reports — never used alone for legal, visa or safety answers.
When the evidence is not enough
AskVietnam tells you it could not find enough reliable sources instead of making something up. The question is logged so our editors can research it and add sources.
Ads stay out of answers
Ads are requested separately, after the answer, using only the page context. They are always labeled “Sponsored” and cannot change what an answer says or which sources it cites.
